An Introduction To Herbal Pet Health:

            Animals play an integral part of our life on earth.  The animals are our friends and our teachers.  They offer us infinite love, understanding and support.  They are there for us when things get tough and when things are going great.
            The longer I have animals the more I realize that most animals stay with us because they want to be with us!  What an honor and a privilege.  They have so much to share with us!  All we have to do is listen.
            An informed owner is a pet’s best medical insurance.  The advantage of using natural remedies is that they can often work as well or better than conventional treatments, have fewer side effects, and address the cause of a condition, resulting in it’s improvement or cure. 
            We can offer a holistic approach to feeding and enhancing the health of our pets helping them to live longer, heal faster, stay flexible, and enjoy good health through an active old age.

Diet

            Most commercial pet foods found on the market are totally foreign to our animals and lack the same vitality and life that is lacking in human diets.  Many pet foods are the remains of dying and diseased animals.   Much of the foods we eat and the pet food we fed to our animals, is devoid of living nutrients, has been devitalized, and robbed of the essence of life.
            A natural diet will help to strengthen you’re pets immune system and maximize health and vitality.
           

The first step in raising healthy animals is to feed them living food. 

• Natural and organic foods
• Made without additives, synthetics, or preservatives.
• Should resemble the type of diet the animal would eat in the wild.
• A raw food diet is best.

Raw Homemade Adult Dog Food:

1 ½  cups ground or cubed raw beef, lamb, poultry, or venison, or whole poultry necks.
1 raw egg
3 cups of chopped or grated, assorted raw vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, kale, spinach, potatoes, or whatever your animal likes)
Appropriate supplements
1 tsp of baked eggshell powder

Raw Homemade Adult Cat Food:

2 cups ground or chopped raw beef, lamb, chicken necks, mackerel, or venison.
¾ cup chopped or grated, assorted raw vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, kale,     spinach, potatoes, or whatever your animal likes)
1 tsp of baked eggshell powder or 1 tsp of steamed bone meal.
Digestive enzymes, essential fatty acids (cod liver oil, flaxseed oil, etc.), amino acids, nutritional herbs, and vitamin mineral supplements.
 

A recipe can be made up in bulk quantities, divided into serving portions, and frozen in baggies until the day they are used (let them thaw to room temperature before feeding, and do not microwave, as this tends to change the molecular structure of the wholesome food you’re about to feed).
